Wood species and engraving

Beech generally gives good laser engraving contrast. Oak has a pronounced grain. Walnut is darker and gives a subtler result. Olive wood has a distinctive grain pattern. Colour, knots, grain and engraving contrast vary. Dimensions can differ by a few millimetres.

Care instructions

Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid dishwashers, soaking and direct heat. Store boards dry and preferably upright. Lightly sand raised grain if needed. Use an oil suitable for the intended use when the wood looks dry.
