Privacy & cookies
Careful with your information.
You share your idea with us. Here we explain which information we use, why we need it and how to contact us about your privacy.
Who is responsible?
SDLG is the name we use on this website for Snake Designs Nederland, based at Heusing 10K, 4817 ZB Breda. Chamber of Commerce number: 80027202. VAT ID: NL003389057B16. Visits are by appointment only.
For questions about your information, email info@sdlg.nl or call +31 6 51 50 21 11. This statement covers contact, enquiries and orders for laser engraving, textile personalisation and signage through SDLG. Version: 19 September 2026.
Which information do we use?
For an enquiry, we ask for your name, email address, selected service and a description of your idea. Company name, telephone number and product or application are optional. Without the required contact and project information, we cannot properly handle a form enquiry. You can also call or email us directly.
Further discussions or an order may also involve your delivery and billing details, correspondence and files. These could include a logo, photograph or list of names to put on products. Send only the information needed for the order. Please discuss supplying larger lists of names or files with us first.
The web server processes technical information associated with a website visit, such as IP address, time, requested page and browser information. This information may be recorded in log files for administration, troubleshooting and security.
For what purposes and on which legal basis?
We use enquiry information to answer your question, assess the possibilities, prepare a quotation and carry out an agreed order. If you are the client yourself, this is necessary to prepare or perform our agreement. If you are a company contact, we use your business contact details on the basis of our legitimate interest in communicating with that company and handling the order. We limit this to the information needed for those purposes.
Keeping the website secure and working properly also serves a legitimate interest. We process information that we are required to retain for our accounts to meet that legal obligation. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to a newsletter. For another purpose requiring consent, we ask for that consent separately.
How does your enquiry reach us?
The form sends the information you enter to info@sdlg.nl. It does not store your enquiry as a separate message in the WordPress database. Recording complete outgoing emails in FluentSMTP is also disabled. The email and subsequent correspondence may nevertheless be held in our mailbox and associated backups.
The form uses a hidden check field and Cloudflare Turnstile to limit spam and abuse. Turnstile processes technical information for this purpose, including your IP address, browser and device information, and connection characteristics. Cloudflare processes information to secure the form and may use certain information as an independent controller to improve abuse detection. Read more in the Cloudflare Turnstile privacy information. We assess the enquiry itself; a Turnstile check is not a decision about your order. You can also call or email us directly.
With whom do we share information?
Service providers may need information for the website, email, administration, delivery and execution. Examples include hosting and email providers, administrative service providers, delivery services, and production or installation partners. We share only what is needed for their task or what we are legally required to disclose.
Where a service provider processes personal data on our behalf, processing and security arrangements must fit that task. Names or other personal data for personalisation are shared only to the extent required for execution.
Our website, email and associated backups are stored within the European Union. The web server is in the Netherlands. This concerns our hosting and email; external services such as Google Analytics and Cloudflare also have their own processing locations and the privacy information and safeguards described below.
How long do we keep information?
We delete enquiries that do not become orders no later than 12 months after the last substantive contact, unless there is a specific reason to retain certain information longer, such as an ongoing dispute.
For orders, we retain the information needed for execution and handling. Invoices and other records subject to a statutory retention duty are kept for the applicable statutory period. That duty does not automatically apply to every design file or list of names.
We retain logos and designs for repeat orders while there is a specific need. We review this annually and contact the customer before deleting these files. Personal photographs and lists of names are kept for a maximum of 12 months after completion of the order, unless we agree another appropriate period with the customer.
Daily, weekly and monthly backups are made for recovery after an outage. The rotation schedule comprises 7 daily, 4 weekly and 1 monthly backup. Older copies are overwritten after their retention period. Deleted information may remain in an existing backup until that copy is replaced according to this schedule. Website, server and security logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days.
In addition to the rotation schedule, a separate external backup of the complete website may be kept for as long as SDLG agrees with its administrator. That copy is not automatically overwritten according to the daily, weekly or monthly schedule. When handling a deletion request, we also assess which personal data is present in such a separate copy and whether a need to retain it remains.
Cookies and other website functions
We use necessary cookies for the website to work and to remember your cookie preferences. Google Analytics is loaded only after you consent to statistics. It measures page views, general interactions and successfully submitted quotation enquiries, potentially including the selected service category. We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, company names, messages or product descriptions to Analytics.
We remove query parameters and fragments from the page URL sent by our measurement code. Only after separate consent to Advertising measurement may Google click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, wbraid and their source code gclsrc) be sent. This allows us to connect successfully submitted engraving enquiries to advertisements through Google Analytics and Google Ads. This advertising measurement works only if you also permit Statistics. We do not use it for personalised advertising or remarketing audiences and do not send form contents or contact details.
Your consent is the legal basis for statistics and advertising measurement. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads from Google Ireland Limited. Google may also process information outside the European Economic Area. The Google data processing terms and the safeguards for international transfers contained in them apply. Further information is available in Google’s privacy policy.
Additional account data sharing is disabled. User and event information is retained for two months; aggregated reports may remain available longer. In our configuration, Analytics cookies have a maximum lifetime of 60 days, without automatic renewal on each visit. Any Google advertising attribution cookies (_gcl_*) have a maximum lifetime of 90 days.
Through Cookie preferences at the bottom of each page, you can refuse Statistics and Advertising measurement separately or withdraw consent. The website and quotation form remain usable. More information about cookies, retention periods and settings is available in our cookie policy.
This configuration does not use remarketing pixels, embedded maps or externally loaded fonts. There is no visitor account or online payment environment. Functional cookies are needed for WordPress administration. Social media and review links load the other website only when you open the link; that website’s privacy information then applies.
Your rights and contact
You can ask which personal data we hold about you and request correction, deletion or restriction of processing. Where applicable, you can object to processing based on a legitimate interest and request transfer of information. If processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent. This does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email your request to info@sdlg.nl. State which contact or order it concerns so we can locate your information. We may ask for suitable additional information to check that the request comes from you. Do not send a copy of your identity document on your own initiative.
We normally respond within one month. If a request is complex and the statutory period may be extended, we will tell you within that first month and explain why. We cannot delete some information while a statutory retention duty or other valid need remains.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us. You can also submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Security and changes
The connection to this website is encrypted using HTTPS. Access to website administration is restricted. Security and access controls for mailboxes, files and backups are also part of managing your information. An internet service can never be made completely risk-free.
If our services or processing of information change, we update this statement. The version date above indicates when the text was last amended.
