Aluminium engraving

A light material, a clear identifying detail. Add your logo, text or numbers to suitable aluminium plates, labels and parts. We assess the surface finish, required contrast and quantity before proposing the execution.

Fibre engraving: maximum 120 × 120 mm per engraving field. This is the marking area. We assess separately whether the complete product fits. Include overall product dimensions, the required marking size and a photograph.

The surface finish determines the result

Bare, anodised and coated aluminium are not interchangeable surfaces. Their finish determines how a marking appears and which process is appropriate. Supply product specifications as well as a photograph: the description “aluminium” alone does not predict the final appearance. For a label or technical part, contrast, size and use must work together. A small serial number needs a different layout from a logo read at a distance.

Plates, components and variable numbers

A readable plate can identify a machine, enclosure or product. Explain fixed information fields, attachment and variable data. A subtle company logo may suit an existing component; mark the desired position on a photograph so we can assess access. For unique numbers, provide one checked data list and agree the order before production. A consistent layout can accommodate different label sizes while leaving enough space for the variable text.

Anodised, bare and coated material

The anodised layer and its colour influence the laser effect. Suitable combinations may give clear contrast, but the actual execution is assessed individually. Alloy, paint and coating can respond differently on bare or coated parts. An unfamiliar surface may need a trial on a suitable sample. We do not promise one engraving colour or universal wear resistance: material, processing and service conditions determine the result.

Shape, dimensions and functional requirements

A flat plate and an assembled component need different positioning. Give dimensions of the whole part, not just the engraving. Show edges and projecting sections in photographs. Report outdoor use, cleaning agents and areas that must remain unprocessed. The fibre laser’s engraving field is 120 × 120 mm. Suitable cylindrical products can use a rotary attachment with a maximum diameter of 130 mm, subject to shape, height and workholding assessment. A clear mark is not automatically a tactile deep engraving; state any depth or dimensional requirement separately.

Artwork, QR codes and quotation

Include the material specification and finish, photographs, overall dimensions and marking size, the logo or text, position, quantity and preferred receipt date. For a QR code or barcode, tell us how it will be scanned and keep clear space around it. Code size, surface finish and contrast affect readability; agree a practical scanning check where needed. Preparation, marking area, positions and quantity influence the quotation. Artwork can be emailed after initial contact.

Supply and delivery planning

We deliver products to the Netherlands and Belgium. Customer-supplied parts are accepted after assessment; do not send them before agreement. Visit, deliver or collect in Breda by appointment only. We agree return packaging and shipping charges. Lead time: 1–5 working days, subject to stock availability. We confirm timing after checking stock and the proposed work; larger projects have an individually agreed schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Can anodised aluminium be engraved?

We can assess that application. Layer, colour and product determine the appropriate method and achievable contrast. Send photographs and material data.

Will the marking always be white or black?

No. Bare, anodised and coated aluminium can produce different effects. A sample photograph is not a guarantee for another product.

Can I supply my own parts?

Yes, after agreement about material, dimensions and condition. We assess whether the whole component can be positioned and the requested area reached.

Do you cut aluminium sheet?

Aluminium laser cutting is not offered through this page. We assess marking an existing metal part. Cutting suitable non-metal sheet material is a separate service.

Is marking the same as deep engraving?

No. A clearly visible marking need not be deep in the material. Report any required depth or dimensions so feasibility can be confirmed separately.

Can an aluminium label carry a QR code?

It may be suitable where finish, size and contrast permit. Explain the scanning use and allow clear space around the code; readability needs an assessment.
