Award and trophy engraving

Recognition that lasts.

Engrave an award for an achievement, anniversary or farewell. SDLG in Breda helps make recognition personal with a name, logo or short message. We advise on a suitable award, trophy plate or gift for the occasion.

Careful choices make the difference

Award engraving for a moment of recognition

An award explains why someone is appreciated. Make that reason clear: an anniversary, special contribution or achievement. Give name, occasion and year a clear order. Long text may look good on screen but be too small on the actual object.

SDLG checks the supplied logo and considers detail with the award’s shape. Transparency, base and available surfaces affect placement. For several winners, use one checked list with category, name and required text. Specify presentation date and allow for the time needed to distribute or transport the awards.

Options

Let the engraving explain why the moment matters.

Recipient, occasion and text determine the appearance. A short, carefully chosen message often reads better than a crowded small surface. Include the presentation date so specification, checking and delivery can be planned.

Business anniversaries and farewells

Combine a name with an anniversary year, job title or personal message. For other gifts, also compare engraved business gifts .

Awards for teams and events

Use one layout with different names, categories or results. Supply all variants in one checked list, including quantity per specification.

Trophy and commemorative plates

A new plate can complement an existing trophy or stand. Send a photograph of the base, available dimensions and required fixing.

Choices & specification

Suitable engraving for the chosen object.

01

Start with the award

Glass, wood, acrylic and suitable metal parts each have a different appearance. Material, finish and shape determine engraving options. For your own object, send photographs of every side and dimensions, including the base and protruding parts. A visible surface is not always accessible to the laser. We assess the object before you supply it.

02

A separate plate

A separate trophy plate may work when direct engraving is unsuitable or impractical. Measure the available area on the base and say whether it is flat or curved. Match colour, shape and fixing to the trophy. A new plate can add a winner to a perpetual trophy; space for existing and future names determines the layout.

03

Text and presentation

Specify fixed text and personal fields separately. Check names, accents, titles, categories and years, including the longest name. Put the correct object or plate and quantity on each recipient’s row. State the required presentation and packing order. Include both event date and the date you need everything for preparation or transport.

Model and engraving are discussed beforehand. An example photograph does not mean every shown object is routinely available from stock.

Preparing your enquiry

This helps us get started.

  • Occasion and presentation date.
  • Photograph or required award, trophy or gift specification.
  • Available engraving area or plate dimensions.
  • Final text, logo and name list per recipient.
  • Quantity, packaging and delivery location.

Use one checked list with recipient, category, exact text, object reference and quantity per row. Preserve numbers and years exactly as required. Email the logo and list after contact; see our artwork guidance. If you have already bought awards, have your own products assessed before supplying them.

From idea to proposal

What affects the price?

Object or plate, engraving area, number of variants and design preparation affect the price. Include budget per recipient and whether you need engraving only or also product supply. One layout with variable names needs different preparation from separate designs. Packaging, division by category and extra copies are agreed separately.

SDLG works from Breda and delivers products throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. Visits, drop-offs and collection at Heusing 10K are by appointment only. Tell us your preference when enquiring; we agree the schedule, packaging and shipping costs. See our contact details and directions to our workshop.

Your first idea is enough to start a conversation.

Useful to know

Frequently asked questions.

Have a different question? Ask us about your project.

Can I have my own award or trophy engraved?

Yes, after assessing material, finish, shape and engraving space. Send photographs and dimensions first. For fragile or inaccessible objects, we also discuss whether a separate plate would be better.

Can you make just a new trophy plate?

Yes, send dimensions, text, required appearance and fixing details. A photograph of the existing base or old plate helps choose a suitable specification.

Can each award have a different name?

Yes, on a suitable specification. Supply a final name list with categories or achievements and check spelling. Layout and additional preparation are agreed beforehand.

Can I request one anniversary gift?

Enquiries for one personal gift are welcome. Include object, text and required date. You can also use our personalised gifts page.

Can you add a new winner to a perpetual trophy?

We assess this using the existing trophy or plate. Send an overview photograph, close-ups of previous entries and available space. Supply exact name, year and category. We discuss a new line or separate plate; matching old lettering exactly is not always possible.

What if winners are only known shortly before the event?

Share the date and expected quantity as early as possible. We can discuss objects, fixed text and layout in advance and agree when final names are needed. Fast completion depends on specification, availability and schedule. We confirm what is feasible before you rely on a delivery date.
