AutoTek at 40: 40 numbered serving boards
A tyre company celebrating 40 years deserves a gift with its own story. For AutoTek Finland, SDLG made 40 beech serving boards with a wheel engraving, individual sequential numbers and a carefully finished surface.

40 numbered serving boards for AutoTek
40 years of AutoTek, 40 numbered serving boards. For the Finnish tyre company’s anniversary, SDLG developed a suitable design on round beech boards measuring 25 cm in diameter. A wheel engraving, anniversary wording and sequential numbers make each board recognisable as part of the same batch. The project was delivered in February 2026.

The request: an anniversary gift with its own character
AutoTek wanted to mark its 40th anniversary with a special gift for its directors and regular clients. The request was to design and engrave a round serving board, with a separate number on each one. This gave the batch the character of a collector’s item: a lasting anniversary reminder with an individual place in the edition.
From round serving board to recognisable wheel
SDLG advised on the product and looked for a suitable board. The round shape was a deliberate choice, directly related to a company working with car tyres. From this idea, we created the design file and adapted it to the customer’s wishes.
The result combines the AutoTek logo, the years 1986–2026 and the lines of a tyre and wheel rim. The design needed to avoid becoming too busy, so the round shape, wording and recognisable wheel details were developed as a coherent whole.
Numbered serving boards: one design, forty numbers
The beech boards were laser engraved, with attention to keeping the engraving from becoming too deep. The fixed design remained the same while each board received a sequential number. On the pictured board this is 1/40.

Finishing is part of the design too
After engraving, SDLG drilled holes in the handles and added a cord. The boards were then treated with grapeseed oil. The cord and finishing treatment completed the product; the work extended beyond adding a logo.
The result: a gift that fits AutoTek
AutoTek received 40 numbered serving boards to celebrate the anniversary and thank regular clients. The board shape, wheel design and individual number together tell the story of the company and this milestone.
