Careful choices make the difference

Flyer printing with one clear next step

A flyer works better when the reader immediately understands the offer and what to do next. Choose one main objective: an appointment, a visit, an enquiry or more information. Build headline, image and contact route around it. Details support the message without all needing equal emphasis.

Distribution guides format and paper choice. A handout differs from a flyer displayed on a counter. SDLG checks your logo and artwork detail. Specify quantity, single- or double-sided printing and receipt date. Check dates, conditions and contact details particularly carefully for temporary offers.

Options

Make your offer immediately clear.

Flyers are often viewed quickly. Lead with the main message and show the next step: visit, contact you or open a webpage. Text length, distribution and campaign duration inform format and paper. A compact handout differs from an information sheet on a counter.

A local promotion

Promote an opening or temporary offer. Keep date, location and conditions clear and check consistency with your other communications.

After a conversation

A brief explanation of your offer helps recipients find you again. Combine with business cards when personal contact details matter.

Part of an exhibition kit

Coordinate the flyer with a roll-up banner and team clothing. Repeat the main message in the right format.

Choices & specification

Paper is part of the message.

01

Format and printing

A6 is compact for handing out; A5 provides more space for explanation and images. Set the main message first, then choose the format. With double-sided printing, the front can attract attention and the back provide practical information. Review both sides at actual size so contact details and offer conditions remain readable.

02

Paper and feel

Paper weight and surface affect feel and ease of distribution or display. Heavier paper may suit a presentation kept for longer; distribution budget also matters for a temporary promotion. Need to write or stamp on it? Say so beforehand so we can choose a suitable surface.

03

Files and legibility

Preferably supply a print-ready PDF with embedded fonts or text converted to outlines. Images need sufficient detail at final size; enlarging a small website image adds none. Bleed prevents white cut edges while text stays within a safe margin. We agree exact file settings for the selected printing.

To distinguish flyer responses from other campaigns, use a dedicated landing page or a campaign-tagged link behind the QR code. Keep the destination active during the promotion and test the code at final size. Include a readable web address too. A scan or website visit is not itself an enquiry.

Preparing your enquiry

This helps us get started.

  • Objective, audience and distribution method.
  • Required format and single- or double-sided printing.
  • Print quantity and preferred paper or finish.
  • Artwork or available text, images and logo.
  • Campaign date, required receipt date and delivery location.

After initial contact, email the artwork and see our artwork guidance. No print-ready file yet? Supply your logo, final text, original images and intended call to action. Specify dates, addresses and conditions that differ between versions. We discuss layout work and correction rounds as part of the proposal.

From idea to proposal

What affects the price?

Quantity, format, paper, finish and any layout work determine the quotation. For different locations or promotions, give the quantity per design. Include a receipt date allowing time for distribution before the campaign starts. Door-to-door distribution or delivery to your target audience is not automatically part of the printing quotation.

SDLG works from Breda and delivers products throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. Visits and collection at Heusing 10K are by appointment only. Specify the required receipt date and delivery location; the proposal includes schedule and shipping costs. See our contact details and directions to our workshop.

Your first idea is enough to start a conversation.

Useful to know

Frequently asked questions.

Have a different question? Ask us about your project.

What is the difference between a flyer and a folded leaflet?

A flyer is an unfolded sheet. A leaflet has one or more folds. If your information needs several panels, we discuss a suitable folded format.

Can I supply my own design?

Yes. We agree file requirements for the chosen specification. A PDF with sufficient image quality, bleed and safe margins is a useful starting point.

Can a flyer include a QR code?

Yes. Supply the correct destination or code and check legibility at final size. Make sure the webpage is active before distributing the flyers.

Which paper should I choose?

This depends on appearance, use and finish. Tell us whether the flyer should feel substantial, allow writing or mainly serve as a temporary handout.

Can different branches have their own flyer version?

Yes. Supply correct contact details, offer differences and quantity for each branch. A consistent layout keeps the campaign recognisable. Check every version, including QR destination and date. Specify one delivery address or discuss separate deliveries.

Can you update an existing flyer for a new promotion?

Send the original design file and the changed text and images. A flattened image does not always allow separate editing. We assess the work and include any new layout in the proposal. Check old dates, conditions, prices and QR destinations too.
