Four engraved water jugs with a message for education. For Floor Polak from Bergen op Zoom, SDLG engraved four different glass jugs as a school gift. They received the de Leermeesters logo and the Dutch words ‘Samen bouwen wij betekenisvol onderwijs!’ The project was delivered on time in June 2026.

The request: a personal school gift, with little time to spare
Floor wanted a message with the logo on the jugs. If the complete logo proved unsuitable, the name alone could appear below the message. With the gift needed shortly afterwards, SDLG had to assess both feasibility and timing.
From a coloured logo to a clear glass engraving
The original logo contained overlapping coloured lines. In glass engraving, colour gives way to a light engraving, so the lines needed to remain recognisable without colour differences.
SDLG adapted the logo for this application. This allowed both the name and the graphic mark to appear on the glass. The personal message was positioned above the logo, preserving the requested combination of words and imagery.
Engraved water jugs: positioning with a rotary attachment
For the jug shown, SDLG used a rotary attachment: an axis that turns the round product during laser engraving. This allowed the design to be applied to the curved glass.
We assess each new jug’s diameter, taper, handle and engraving position individually. Our rotary accommodates suitable cylindrical products with a maximum diameter of 130 mm. The handle and shape also determine whether a jug fits the setup.
The result: four water jugs completed in time
The four jugs received the chosen message and adapted logo. Despite the late enquiry, Floor could present them on time. She appreciated both the result and the practical advice:
