Batch engraving with logos, names or numbers

Your company logo. Across a batch of products.

Have your logo engraved on a batch of products for clients, employees or identification. Choose the same engraving throughout or an individual name or number on each item. Tell us the product, material, quantity and required date; we assess the specification and prepare a business quotation.

Response within 24 hours. Lead time: 1–5 working days, subject to stock availability. For larger projects, we agree the lead time individually. The schedule is confirmed after checking stock and the proposed work.

CampPlus identification plates made by SDLG with a logo, individual numbers and four fixing holes.

Completed for CampPlus: 111 Rowmark plastic identification plates with a brushed aluminium appearance. These are not metal plates.

  • Fixed and variable personalisation
  • An organised list for each product
  • For one-off and repeat orders

From our workshop

111 identification plates, one design and individual numbers.

For CampPlus, SDLG made 111 identification plates measuring 9 × 9 cm. The logo, text and website remained the same; each plate received a different number. We handled the engraving, cutting and four fixing holes.

The material was 1.6 mm Rowmark plastic with a brushed aluminium appearance, with an adhesive backing. The photograph shows the delivered product. View the full CampPlus case →

Preparing your own batch.

Tell us the product, material, quantity and preferred receipt date. Specify which details stay the same and which vary by item. After initial contact, supply one checked list of names or codes, with different models and quantities recorded separately.

This photograph shows the plastic version. We assess the technique, engraving size and positioning separately for metal, wood, glass or customer-supplied products.

Careful choices make the difference

Batch engraving starts with a reliable data list

For a batch, quality depends on matching each product with the right information as well as a good-looking logo. Keep names, codes and variants in one file. Give each row a reference and specify how many items use that version. Separate changes in multiple emails make checking unnecessarily difficult.

Handle leading zeros and special characters carefully. SDLG checks the logo and whether details can be produced on the product; you check the content and spelling of the supplied list. Specify differences in colour or model, which may require a different position or assessment.

Options

A good batch starts with a clear file.

The design and data need to match. One checked list avoids confusion over quantities, spelling and order. You do not need a complete production plan yet: start by sending the product, quantity and an example of the required personalisation.

One fixed company logo

The same marking on suitable products. We consider product variations and positioning when preparing the batch.

Individual names

For a team or business gift, for example. Explore suitable water bottles or business gifts.

Numbers and identification

A fixed layout with variable codes or information, for example on identification plates.

Material & process

Three agreements that keep a batch organised.

01

One row per product

Put the name, number and product variant on the same row and give it a reference. If several items need the same details, specify the quantity too. Add quantities together: the row count may differ from the product count.

02

One final version

Check spelling, characters, leading zeros and the total number of products. Include a date or version in the file name. When changing information, identify the row and specify which new list replaces the previous one.

03

One agreed layout

Specify maximum text lengths and different products. We agree the position and any trial before preparing the batch.

Use our sample names and numbers file as a starting point. It is a semicolon-separated CSV containing fictional examples. Check the columns when opening it in your spreadsheet application.

Preparing your enquiry

This helps us get started.

  • Product or model variant, material and dimensions.
  • Total quantity and quantity per variant.
  • The fixed design and all variable information.
  • Any required ordering, sorting or packaging per group.
  • Required arrival date and possible repeat orders.

An original logo or vector file is useful. If you only have a photograph or sketch, send it for assessment first. Supply files by email after initial contact.

From idea to proposal

What affects the price?

Preparation, positioning, engraving area and processing time determine the price together. Variable names or numbers also require data preparation. State whether each item has one or several engraving positions and which models are included; the total quantity alone does not describe the whole project.

SDLG works from Breda and delivers products throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. Visits, drop-offs and collection at Heusing 10K are by appointment only. Tell us your preference when enquiring; we agree the schedule, packaging and shipping costs. See our contact details and directions to our workshop.

Useful to know

Frequently asked questions.

Have a different question? Ask us about your project.

What is the minimum quantity for batch engraving?

You are welcome to enquire about a small batch. The product, layout and preparation determine whether the project is suitable. We propose a specification for your quantities; there is no universal minimum order or fixed quantity-price table here.

How should I supply names or numbers?

Preferably in one list with one row per product and clear column headings. Use the example file and specify which columns should actually be engraved.

Can we review an example before production?

We agree how the design and result will be checked. Depending on the product and project, a digital layout or material trial may be useful; any costs are discussed beforehand.

Can you make another batch later?

Include the previous order or item code in your next enquiry. We check material, product availability, data and the current schedule again before confirming the additional batch.

Can different product models be included in one enquiry?

Yes. Give the model, colour or version and quantity on each row. Different shapes and coatings may require different positions or processes. We assess variants individually and identify them in the proposal.

How do I stop 0017 becoming 17?

Set columns containing numbers or codes to text when opening or importing the file. Then check that leading zeros, accents and other characters have been retained. Send the final list with a version number and specify which columns should be engraved.
