Menu holders and table numbers

Recognisable right down to the table.

Engrave menu holders or give table numbers a consistent identity. SDLG in Breda combines your logo, fixed information and suitable material for a restaurant, reception desk or event. We advise on what should stay visible and what you may want to replace later.

Careful choices make the difference

Menu holder engraving with the guest in mind

A table display should stand out without dominating the table. Decide what a guest needs to see first: table number, brand or reference to a menu. Reading direction, viewing distance and space for glasses or plates help determine a practical size.

For a holder with a replaceable card, paper thickness, slot and stability matter too. Engraved QR codes need suitable contrast and position for scanning. SDLG assesses the logo and whether details can be produced on the selected product. Tell us how the item is cleaned and whether it is used indoors or outdoors.

Options

Make the table clear and recognisable.

A table number helps guests and staff, while a menu holder carries information that changes regularly. Choose what goes permanently on the holder and what should be on a replaceable card. A new menu then need not mean a new engraved holder.

Menu and card holders

Engrave a logo on a suitable existing holder or discuss an appropriate model. Card size, thickness and angle determine how the combination works.

Table numbers and signs

A consistent sequence helps reservations and service. Match reading direction and text size to position and the distance at which the number needs to be noticed.

One hospitality style

Combine table displays with aprons with your logo and engraved serving boards. Different products can still form a recognisable set.

Choices & specification

Attractive on the table. Practical in use.

01

Wood and acrylic

Wood provides a natural material with visible grain. Acrylic can be transparent or coloured. The choice affects contrast, finish and care.

02

Base, slot and card

Supply the size and actual thickness of the card or sign, including any laminate. Paper weight alone does not show how the whole item fits the slot. Include required angle and overall height; base, holder and card are assessed together.

03

Fixed text or changing content

Use engraving for permanent numbers and logos, and a separate card for prices or seasonal information. A stable web address is useful for a QR code: you manage the content behind the link yourself. We assess space and contrast and agree any scan check on the chosen object.

Describe table cleaning and whether products are indoors or outdoors. A wood or acrylic holder is not automatically dishwasher-safe; care is agreed for the selected specification.

Preparing your enquiry

This helps us get started.

  • Use location: table, reception desk, terrace or event.
  • Required product, material and approximate dimensions.
  • Card size and thickness if the card needs to be replaceable.
  • Logo, number sequence or other fixed information.
  • Quantities, spares and required arrival date.

Send a photograph of the table setup or a dimensioned sketch. Supply a table-number list and identify spares and duplicate numbers. State whether the text needs to be read from one or two sides. For a scannable link, see QR code engraving.

From idea to proposal

What affects the price?

Engraving an existing holder needs different preparation from cut signs with separate bases. Material, dimensions, quantity, variable numbers and assembly determine the quotation.

Useful to know

Frequently asked questions.

Have a different question? Ask us about your project.

Can you engrave our existing menu holders?

We can discuss this after assessing material, finish, shape and engraving access. Send photographs of the whole holder and intended position. See engraving your own products to prepare your enquiry; supply items only after agreement.

Can I add another table number later?

Yes, we assess how an addition can match the existing specification. Keep your order reference and supply the new number or required sequence.

Can it have a QR code linking to our menu?

Yes, on suitable material at a legible size. Use a stable web address and have the final code assessed and tested on the selected material.

Do you also print the separate cards?

Printing is part of our services. Specify card size, holder and how often content changes. We discuss a suitable paper specification and size for the combination.

Can a table number be readable from both sides?

We can discuss this. Tell us the positions from which guests and staff need to read it. We assess shape, base and both visible sides; on transparent material, engraving on one side may affect the view from the other.

Will a laminated card fit every menu holder?

No, total card thickness needs to suit the slot. Supply dimensions including the laminated edge and say whether the card stands upright or at an angle. For a critical fit, we discuss a trial using the actual card and any costs beforehand.
