Careful choices make the difference

Hoodie printing or embroidery with your own identity

A hoodie or sweatshirt has room for a distinctive design, but model and position must work together. A hood may cover the top of a back print; a pouch pocket or zip divides the front. Assess the garment as worn, as well as in a flat product photograph.

SDLG checks logo detail alongside fabric and position. Small embroidery looks different from a large print. For team clothing, the same basic layout can work across hoodies, sweatshirts and zip-up styles with suitable size and positioning per model.

Options

Choose the wearing occasion first.

An extra travel layer, a recognisable team sweatshirt or merchandise people want to wear: use guides the choice. Consider warmth, model and layers underneath. A pouch-pocket hoodie offers a different print area from a sweatshirt or zip-up style.

For the working day

A restrained chest logo combines well with polo shirts and T-shirts. Coordinate colours within your team clothing.

For teams and clubs

Discuss names, numbers or a shared back design. A checked list per person matches model, size and personalisation.

For your own brand

A recognisable sweatshirt can belong to a small collection or campaign. Share your artwork and appearance requirements; we discuss fabric, quantity and finish.

Choices & specification

The right place for your design.

01

Embroidery or printing

Small embroidery can provide a subtle brand detail; a larger print allows an image or message. Dense embroidery also affects how the fabric feels. Compare embroidery and printing for size, texture and comfort. Both processes can be discussed within one range.

02

Hood, pocket and zip

View a hoodie with the hood down: a high back logo may disappear behind it. Pouch pockets, zips and seams limit the front area. Supply a photograph or item number and mark the position. We assess the actual space, including smaller sizes.

03

Fabric and fit

A brushed inside feels different from visible loops. Composition, weight and fit affect comfort. Discuss regular or relaxed fit and layers underneath. Compare the selected model’s size chart; oversized fit is not simply ordering one size larger for everyone.

Artwork need not be the same size on every garment to remain recognisable. We assess proportions for the model and sizes ordered.

Preparing your enquiry

This helps us get started.

  • Hoodie, sweatshirt or zip-up style and preferred fit.
  • Fabric colour and any existing model.
  • Quantities per size and model.
  • Logo, names or artwork and required positions.
  • Use, required date and delivery location.

Supply logo and name list separately after contact. Use one row per model, colour, size, quantity and exact name or text, including position. Our sample size list helps organise quantities. For back prints, say whether the hood may cover part of the design. See our artwork guidance for the artwork file.

From idea to proposal

What affects the price?

Model, printing or embroidery, positions and quantity determine the quotation. Embroidery file preparation and individual names may require extra processing.

Useful to know

Frequently asked questions.

Have a different question? Ask us about your project.

Can you personalise a zip-up hoodie?

This depends on the model and position. A zip through the artwork needs a different approach from a clear chest or back area.

Is large embroidery always the best choice?

No. Large or dense embroidery can feel heavier. We compare artwork and fabric and discuss printing where it suits better.

Can hoodies and sweatshirts have the same appearance?

Yes, we coordinate logo, colours and proportions. Differences in fabric and model may still affect the visible result.

Can every sweatshirt have a different name?

This can be discussed. Supply exact spelling and a list per model and size so each name is matched to its garment.

Can a logo or text go on the sleeve?

We assess the model and space available. Specify which arm and how text should run when worn. A narrow sleeve, seam or cuff may limit size. Access, dimensions and process are checked before confirmation.

How do I wash a printed or embroidered sweatshirt?

Follow the garment label and personalisation care advice. Washing and drying instructions vary with model and process; one temperature does not suit every sweatshirt. Do not iron directly on a print. Tell us about a fixed business washing procedure so we can assess suitability.

What makes your team sweatshirt personal?

Tell us whether you want hoodies, sweatshirts or zip-up styles and when they will be worn. Include quantity, colours and intended printing or embroidery. For a back design, explain how it should work with the hood; names and sizes can follow in a list.
